Best Performing Brands on Twitter UK

Although Twitter is an excellent way to promote your personal brand, it’s also a great way to promote your business brand. Sports clubs have been dominating this area, topping the rankings and performing better than most other brands on Twitter. The most engaging brands this April we’re Liverpool FC (1.1 m engaged users), Manchester United (987 k), and Arsenal FC (515 k), respectively.

No hashtags we’re used this month as much as in previous months, with special events and holidays that everyone could (and did) partake in. However, there we’re still some popular ones this April. The most top two most used hashtags were #mufc, which is an acronym for Manchester United Football Club, and #lfc, short for Liverpool Football Club. As the football games are heating up, fans are flocking to Twitter to show their support for their favourite team. Or sometimes their hate for their least favourite one. And, naturally, the third most popular hashtag was #OneDirection.
