What are cookies?

Cookies are IT data, usually in the form of short text files which are stored in the final device of a User of our Website. An example of a User’s final device is a computer (desktop computer, laptop, tablet) or different portable device (e.g. smartphone).

Cookies mainly include information about pages from our Website visited by a User, their storage time in a User’s device, and their unique number. This information enables our Website and us as its administrators to save a User’s preferences and adjust the Website to their individual needs.

Our Website does not automatically collect or store any IT data that would make a User’s identification possible, apart from data included in cookies.

How to manage cookies?

Users can manage cookies used on the Website by using the appropriate settings of their Internet browser. Users can mainly remove cookies previously saved by our Website in their final device (see point What are cookies?) by using the appropriate settings of his Internet browser.

Please be informed that the majority of Internet browsers allow the saving and storing of cookies by default - including our Website – in a User’s final device. However, those Users who do not agree with this can, at any time, change the settings of their Internet browser in such a way that cookies support will be disabled.

In case a User wants to get detailed information about how to change the settings of his Internet browser, they should consult the producers of the software being used (Internet browser).

Here are some examples:

  1. Mozilla Firefox:
In the "Tools" menu, select "Options" and then "Privacy".
The browser allows the User to enable the "Don’t track" feature or remove single cookies of particular websites.
  2. Microsoft Internet Explorer:
In menu "Tools" select "Options" and then tab "Privacy",
Using a special slider, Users can regulate the general level of privacy, or using ‘Websites’, they can manage the settings of particular websites.
  3. Google Chrome
In the menu at the top right corner of browser select "Tools", then "Clear browsing data". Apart from the possibility to remove cookies, there is a link "More information", which leads to a detailed description of the browser’s privacy functions.
  4. Apple Safari
In the menu select "Preferences" and then "Privacy". Here you will find many available options regarding cookies.

Users shall bear in mind that the ‘don’t trust’ feature or other limitations on cookies support in their browser may lead to a lack of access to particular functions of our Website. In case of questions or problems, please contact us. Our contact details can be found in our Terms of Service page or in our Contact page.

What do we use cookies for?

As mentioned above, we use cookies on our Website in order to adjust its content, including text to a particular User’s preferences.

Cookies enable us to gather so called visit statistics (anonymously, of course), which with we can discover how Users used our Website, which allows us to decide how we should further develop our Website.

Using our cookies enables Users to move through our Website quickly, especially after logging in. This is because they do not have to enter any login or password information on subsequent pages on the Website.

What kind of cookies do we use?

On our Website we use two basic kinds of cookies:

  1. ‘Session cookies’ which are stored in a User’s final device until he leaves our Website or until closing the Internet browser.
  2. ‘Persistent’ which are stored in a User’s final device within the time specified within cookies parameters, or until cookies are removed by the User.

Cookies on our Website can be used by advisers cooperating with the Website and by subjects who create - at the Website’s request - anonymous visiting statistics.
