The Best UK Fanpage Posts
This June, posts about Brexit received the most attention from Britons. The controversial decision has been making an uproar not just in the UK, but all over the world. So naturally people went on Facebook to voice their opinions, with some big names reaching the top with their Brexit related posts.
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan had the most successful post this month. His post was reassuring every person living in London that they are still welcome in the city. Based on the comments, it did little to change the hearts and minds of Europeans living in the city. But the sentiment was nonetheless appreciated. Following this post in second place was Jeremy Corbyn. His post was mourning the passing of Jo Cox, who died after being shot and stabbed. Third place was taken by Nigel Farage, recently former leader of the UK Independence party. He was commenting about speaking to the European Parliament and how ‘pleased’ they were to see him. Excellent choice of words.

The Most Engaging Pages
With Brexit such hot topic, politicians owned the field this month in terms of engagement. The most engaging profiles this June belonged to Sadiq Khan (847 thousand fans engaged), England Football Team (735 thousand fans), and Jeremy Corbyn (572 thousand fans). Where sports was the most engaging topic last month, this month was taken by politics. Even the UEFA EURO cup couldn’t distract from the political discourse caused by Brexit. However, euro2016 was also the most popular hashtag this month, so football was still a very popular topic for the UK this month.
